Who we are
ITA AI Teacher is a product of IT Artificer, on the website and in the Android app. During the pilot it is used by invited schools and families in Pakistan. Contact: itartificer@gmail.com.
What we collect
For parents: name, email, phone number (if you sign in with it or want reports on WhatsApp), and the consent you give. For children: first name, grade, board, school (if any), learning language, lessons with the AI teacher (messages and whiteboard), answers, test answers and scores, progress, homework pictures uploaded in a lesson, and daily reports. We do not ask children for phone numbers, addresses or photos of themselves. Teachers who apply to teach give their name, phone number, and identity and qualification documents.
How we use it
Only to teach your child, show progress to you (and to your child's school, as totals only), keep the service safe, and control costs. We never sell data and never use it for advertising.
AI providers
Lesson messages and homework photos are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic, Claude) to produce the teacher's replies. They are not used to train public models under our agreement. Each call's cost is recorded without extra personal data.
Voice, video and camera
In voice mode, your child's speech is turned into text by the phone's or browser's own speech recognition (on Android this is Google). The teacher's replies are read aloud by a cloud voice (Microsoft Azure or ElevenLabs), and a video teacher (Simli) moves with that voice; only the teacher's words go to them, never your child's. The camera works only if you allow it: the live picture stays on the device, and a photo goes to the AI teacher only when your child taps “Show the teacher”. That photo is not saved.
Safety
Messages are screened before they reach the AI. If a child writes something that suggests they may be unsafe, they get a caring fixed reply and our team is alerted, so an adult can help.
Who can see what
Your child sees their own lessons. You see your own children only. A school sees only its own students' names, grades, learning totals and class test scores — never chats or answers. Our administrators can see data to run and protect the service; their actions are recorded.
Your rights
You can download all of your child's data, change their PIN and daily time limit, turn report emails off, and delete the account with all its data at any time from your family page.
How long we keep data
Lesson chats and homework uploads are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically. Progress and daily reports (which hold no chat text) stay while the account is active. When you delete the account, everything is removed straight away.
